Light manifests itself in a place by projecting onto surfaces, marking them with its lines, forming volumes in the suspended dust in the air. It changes places but also people; there is a subtle interaction between the light of a place and the observer, generating often unconscious emotions.
The artwork conveys the sensation of contact with light, when light is not only seen but also felt, when it becomes a sensitive medium to break through the physical space and enter the inner one.
The intent is to materialize the spiritual dimension into which one enters when feeling the light.
Each wire was inserted into the ceiling through an invisible micro hook, ensuring that its origin cannot be seen, creating a continuity between the outside and the inside. Each wire was then cut to a certain height and stretched for about a meter until reaching the floor, allowing the wire to hold its shape and remain straight. A small hook was created at the end of each wire so it could be attached to the tube, which serves both as a terminal and as a counterweight. Each tube fits into a nail previously fixed to the floor, allowing the entire installation to be mobile. Each wire, therefore, can oscillate and produce a delicate sound that emphasizes the spiritual dimension.
This work draws from goldsmithing knowledge, combined with our personal sensitivity. It tells the story of the world we come from, where impalpable spiritual matter merges with precise, concrete goldsmithing craftsmanship.
